I worked last night’s incredible Monday Night Football game from Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, NY. It was the first MNF game in Buffalo in 13 years. Despite finishing +5 in the turnover battle, the Bills were not able to hang on and lost a 25-24 heartbreaker to the still-undefeated Dallas Cowboys on the last play of the game. I’ve got an interview with Bills DB Jabari Greer over on the BPR Home Team Edition podcast series. You can also read my thoughts from the game. But here’s a short interview I did with DB/KR Terrence McGee from the Bills postgame locker room. Terrence was in on seven tackles, had several passes defensed and returned a kickoff 103 yards for a TD.
DAVID: What an incredible game, Terrence. Incredibly disappointing, I know, but just a tremendous game.
TERRENCE: Yeah, it’s kind of crazy that we even lost that game. We just got so many turnovers. I think overall we just played a good game and to come up one play short in the end … it’s really hard. There are a lot of guys hurting in this locker room.
DAVID: What did Coach Jauron tell you guys after the game?
TERRENCE: That this is just how things go sometimes. We played our hearts out. There isn’t anything else we could’ve done. We were just one play short.
DAVID: Can you walk away from this game saying you gained anything from the loss?
TERRENCE: Your guess is as good as mine, man. We played so well and to get a loss it just hurts so bad, so … It shows that we can go out and make plays, though. We had a whole bunch of turnovers and if we can just go out there and make plays. We just have to finish games. If we can get to the point where we can finish games, we’ll be alright. We played real well. We just gotta finish.
DAVID: This is going to be a good football team.
TERRENCE: Yeah, I think we showed to whoever was watching the game, any other teams and fans in general that the Buffalo Bills — our record doesn’t show it but we are a good football team and we’re gonna play some real good football. That’s about the only thing we can take from tonight. Teams know we can go out and make plays. When you play us it’s gonna be a hard fought game, but at the end of the day, it’s all about wins and losses.
DAVID: The home crowd was great. It was an incredible atmosphere tonight.
TERRENCE: Yeah, it’s always like that. I mean, it’s Monday Night Football so it’s gonna be a little different but … This was my first Monday Night game. There was a lot of hype and a lot of people out tonight cheering us on. It was a good game.
DAVID: Is this a good time for a bye week?
TERRENCE: I think so. It’s time for guys to go back home and chill for a little bit and then come back and get focused and get ready for the Ravens and the rest of the season.

Nice interview, David. That was an entertaining game to watch, but I can’t even imagine what those poor Bills players feel like.
I guess you didn’t want to ask him about the kickoff return because everyone else was ? 103 yards on Monday night was a pretty unique achievement but it got lost in all the ballyhoo over the dramatic ending.
