Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow returned to practice today after being hospitalized for several days with an undisclosed illness and missing last week’s Monday Night Football win over the N.Y. Giants. Kellen decided to keep the undisclosed illness undisclosed:
“I’m not going to tell you exactly. It was really the Cleveland Browns decision to keep it undisclosed and I agree with that. Just because I catch a football doesn’t mean I should tell what’s wrong with me or what happened. I’m back and I’m happy to be back. I think I’m good to go. I just feel because I play professional football, it doesn’t mean I should let people into my personal business.”
I agree wholeheartedly. But if you take a look around the world wide web, you can pretty much figure out what happened. Not much is a secret anymore. Especially if you play professional football. But that’s really not relevant at this time. All that matters is that Kellen is well on his way to a full recovery and the Browns will need all hands on deck if they’re to continue their winning ways. The tough Washington Redskins are the next test for a Browns team trying to rebound from a disappointing 1-3 start.
