More good news to report on Kevin Everett’s recovery from a severe spinal cord injury. Kevin has developed enough strength to hold himself up briefly on a walker, and he can also use his feet to push himself around in a wheelchair. He is also able to open and close both hands, another significant step after he showed only slight movement in his fingers while spending the first two weeks of his recovery in Buffalo. There is still no timetable as to when Kevin will be released from the hospital to continue his rehab as an outpatient. He currently spends about four to five hours a day in physical and occupational therapy sessions. Please continue to keep Kevin in your prayers.

My nephew had the same football injury on Aug 22, 2008 and is still in the hospital without movement from chest down. I would like to get in touch with Kevin Everett so he could give some positive information on how he is beating the odds. My nephew is a C5 with spinal compression of 50-70%. He is only 17. Please Help Me. Concerned Auntie!
