Kurt Warner: ‘It’s Amazing We Are Here’

After a shocking 33-13 NFC Divisional Playoff win over the Carolina Panthers tonight, the Arizona Cardinals are headed to the NFC Championship game. Does that sound unusual to anyone? It should. The Cards have never played in an NFC Championship game before. And they are one of only six teams to have never played in a Super Bowl. For a team that wrapped up their division early, just a few weeks ago it looked like Arizona was backing into the playoffs with absolutely no momentum. But with an explosive offense and rejuvenated, opportunistic defense — two playoff wins later, they look like a team that could go all the way. Cards quarterback Kurt Warner said:

“Nobody expected this. It’s amazing we are here.”

Kurt’s been “there.” Remember, he won Super Bowl XXXIV with the St. Louis Rams. With Kurt’s experience — whether playing in New York against the Giants or at home against the Eagles — the Arizona Cardinals stand a good chance of making the impossible quite possible.
