World-renowned artist Cojo designed the mascot for EMQB. The original drawing depicts a hulking football player in full uniform listening to an EMQB podcast on an iPod. The design will be used on all EMQB materials, including this Web site, social networking Web sites, RSS feed, and marketing/promo materials. “We’re thrilled to have an original Cojo drawing as our mascot,” said EMQB owner/editor-in-chief David Kindervater. “I’ve admired his style in many national magazines and love what he did for EMQB. He really captured the attitude of the blog and podcast with this art work.”

About Cojo
Following in the footsteps of Andy Warhol, over the past decade Cojo has firmly etched his signature portrait and line art styles into the upper echelon of the NY Pop Art Elite, seamlessly straddling the hip-hop world into the mainstream magazines, while staying grounded by the lofty Art Scene Status-Symbol-Sophisticates. His style propelled him quickly to the top of the commercial art and illustration world, and due to his global recognition is now rapidly elevating him into view of Celebrities and Blue Chip Art Collectors. Cojo’s signature vector-sharp thick outline drawing style (Cojo Style) is one of the most popular styles in the world today. Thus said, it’s becoming of the most commonly imitated, copied, and plagiarized styles as well. Although annoying, Cojo sees this as a form of flattery, as many imposters as there are, there is only one original. In the artist’s own words: “Who pays top dollar for a Jackson Pollock knock-off? Nobody! There is only one Cojo. Anything that looks similar is just hack copycat canvas drips.” Cojo is a global behemoth. His commercial work has been printed in fifteen countries and thirteen languages. He’s been printed in Maxim Magazine (the world’s largest Men’s Lifestyle Magazine) close to 100 times, The Source Magazine over 30. His artwork has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, Vibe Magazine, XXL Magazine, King Magazine, Ecko’s Complex Magazine, Black Book Magazine, and dozens of others. He’s done Fat Albert art for FUBU, Air Force 1 art for Nike, Black History Month art for Nickelodeon, and Spring Break art for MTV. “Cojo Original” paintings or commissioned portraits are very hard to attain and are prized status symbols among the rich and famous. He creates such few painted works a year, and the demand is so high that owning one privately is nearly impossible. He’s done highly regarded portraits and commissions for such A-List clientele as: Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Ja Rule, Redman, Cam’ron, Lil’ Kim, Usher, Mario, Ashanti, and many others. He’s currently working on commissioned portraits for Mike Tyson and director Kevin Smith. The Art Juggernaut is unstoppable. Visit Cojo online at artsucks.com.
