New England Patriots Arrive in Rainy Arizona, Super Bowl XLII Media Hype Underway

The New England Patriots were greeted with inclement weather conditions at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona late this afternoon (Mountain time) to a horde of reporters who all had one question on their mind: How is Tom Brady’s ankle? While head coach Bill Belichick wasn’t willing to discuss it until the mandatory injury report was released Wednesday, QB Tom Brady was — briefly. In his first presser of the week, Tom mentioned that the injury occurred during the third quarter of the AFC Championship game against San Diego and said:

“It’s feeling good. I’ll be ready to go. I’m not concerned about how it’s going to affect my play. This won’t keep me out.”

Tom looked fine coming off the plane. He spent last week mostly watching his teammates practice, so he said he was able to prepare mentally and rest his mild high ankle sprain. I think he’ll be better than ever. Not only do I think his leg will be fine but I think the time off will also liven up what is probably a pretty tired right arm. Fifty touchdown passes will do that to you.
