Former Oregon State center Kyle DeVan offers his NFL Draft Diary, exclusive to Every Morning Quarterback. Here is Kyle’s first entry:
Well it’s less than one week out from my inaugural Draft weekend and I am very excited to see what the future holds. I have been working hard for this one weekend for a very long time. Five years of college football seems like an eternity; however, it has gone by so fast. These past few months have been such an awesome experience. Not very many people have been able to do what I have done and I am so thankful for this great opportunity. Since Pro-Day I have been focusing on getting myself physically and mentally ready for the step to the NFL. With the NFL Draft coming up quickly I plan to spend my time with my family since they have supported me through the good times and the bad. This is such a great thing for me and my family and we just want to enjoy every minute of it because it won’t last forever. As far as the weekend events, I will just be waiting and watching, hoping that Sunday brings some great news to us.

Sorry you didn’t make it here to D.C. I was looking forward to having a fellow Vacavillian in a Redskins Jersey. I’ll still be watching. Vaca High School Class of ‘83
