Pacman Jones made his debut with the Dallas Cowboys during the team’s OTA today at Valley Ranch. Following practice, Pacman said:
“I’ve been waiting on this day for a whole year. I’m just happy to be a part of this team and I’m happy to be back on the field. Everybody knows what I’ve been through. I don’t like talking about the past. The past is the past. I made some bad decisions and I owned up to those bad decisions. But now I’m worrying about the future. I wish I would’ve known this when I first got in the league. I wouldn’t have made some of the bad decisions that I made, but I like pressure and no matter what anyone says, it’s all on me now. There are no more excuses and I think I’m in a great position and I’m ready for it. I’m ready for whatever the challenge is.”
Pacman really does sound like a changed man. He seems sincere and hopefully his on- and off-the-field behavior will demonstrate that. And check out the number he’s wearing — 21, formerly worn by Deion Sanders who is “mentoring” Pacman. I’m not a big Deion fan, but I think his heart is in the right place in helping some of the younger players.
