Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been fined $25,000 by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for his recent public criticisms of referee Ed Hoculi. Apparently, it doesn’t matter if your gripe is not related to a specific call. You can’t talk trash about an NFL official, period. And Jerry Jones did just that. The league is trying to prohibit the criticism of game officials, so all should be warned. Referee Ed Hochuli Will Be ‘Downgraded’

I haven’t posted anything about NFL referee Ed Hochuli’s crucial blown call in the Denver/San Diego game two days ago. But I’m about to. Just in case you don’t already know, I’ll set the stage. It’s the fourth quarter with the Broncos driving deep in Chargers territory trailing by seven points. Ok, the stage has been set. I’ll start speaking in the past tense now.
