Six NFL rookies will be following in the footsteps of their NFL dads this season. For two rookies this year, those footsteps, like five NFL father-son duos before them, can be traced all the way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Eli, Peyton and Archie Manning threw the ceremonial first toss at a Chelsea football tournament for fathers and children yesterday. The Manning fam held their reunion at the NERF Father’s Day Football Throwdown to help city residents celebrate their fathers. Said Peyton:

They will definitely treat him to something today. Maybe it will be a nice sweater or dinner at his favorite steakhouse. But the real Father’s Day present this year from 11 NFL rookies will be unwrapped from September 6-10 – on NFL Kickoff 2007 Weekend.
