Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn and left tackle Joe Thomas appeared at a rally for Republican presidential candidate John McCain this past week. Meanwhile, linebacker Willie McGinest (along with Cleveland Cavs star Lebron James) were pumping voter registration at a Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama rally recently. Cleveland Browns offensive lineman LeCharles Bentley was cleared to practice with the team at their minicamp which began today. LeCharles hasn’t played in a game since 2005 where he was a two-time All-Pro with the Saints. After being picked up as a free agent by the Browns following that 2005 season, it’s been nothing but frustration for all involved. Joe Thomas Declines Draft Invitation

Wisconsin OL Joe Thomas has declined the NFL’s invitation to be part of the pre-Draft and Draft Day festivities so he could go fishing with his father. My first reaction was one of amazement. I mean, I thought every NFL prospect wanted to be in this national spotlight. Apparently not. I get to attend all the events leading up to the Draft (and, of course, the Draft itself).
