Tony Dungy Meets With Michael Vick

Former NFL coach Tony Dungy met with imprisoned NFL quarterback Michael Vick today at Leavenworth (Kansas) Federal Prison. And according to Michael’s agent Joel Segal, “It was a private meeting between coach Dungy and Michael, and it was positive.” As much as I believe coach Dungy would simply pay a visit to Michael out of the goodness of his heart, my guess is that he was there on some sort of “official NFL business” and will speak with Commissioner Goodell afterward to offer a recommendation as to whether he feels Michael is truly remorseful for his actions.

Washington Redskins defensive back DeAngelo Hall kicked off the free agency signing period by re-signing with the Skins on a six-year, $54 million deal that includes $22.5 million guaranteed and $30 million in the first three seasons. This comes as no surprise.
