With two sacks in this afternoon’s 25-16 win over the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter now has 10.5 on the season and is on a pace to break Michael Strahan’s all-time record of 22.5 sacks (back in 2001). After the game, Joey expressed his enthusiasm as only he can:
“I’ve never really been in a system to where a lot of the defense I’m featured in is so I can go out there and make plays. They put me in a position to make plays a lot and I’ll put that on myself to …read more

Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter can’t help himself. His mouth won’t stop. But his wallet is taking a hit as a result. Joey was fined $20,000 for exercising his freedom of speech about the officiating after last Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans. On the first play of the Texans drive for the winning touchdown late in the game, Joey stripped quarterback Matt Schaub. Recently beleaguered referee Ed Hochuli ruled the play an incomplete pass rather than a fumble, saying Matt’s arm was moving forward when he was hit. Joey disagreed and shared his views …read more

What a difference a year makes. Last season was all about the New England Patriots. And if there was one team last season was certainly NOT about, it was the Miami Dolphins. Today, not only did the Dolphins exact revenge on two lopsided losses to the Patriots from last season, they did so in convincing fashion — on the road, no less — and ended the Pats NFL record 21-game regular season winning streak by pummeling New England 38-13.
To understand Miami’s total dominance in this game, just look at the total net yards — …read more
What Happens in Vegas…

Joey Porter and Levi Jones have a history of trash-talking each other on the football field. After all, they were once AFC North rivals — Porter with the Steelers, Jones with the Bengals. Of course, Porter is now in Miami with a new five-year, $32 million deal. Yesterday they took it a step further than the field — to a casino blackjack table in Las Vegas where Porter was issued a summons on a misdemeanor battery charge for punching Jones in the face outside the Palms. You see, what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas! Porter could face …read more
Dolphins Add Joey Porter

Apparently a 6-10 record was grounds for a complete house-cleaning in Miami. So far this off-season, the Dolphins have parted ways with three offensive linemen (Bennie Anderson, Damion McIntosh and Jeno James), QB Joey Harrington, RB Sammy Morris, WR Wes Welker, DE Kevin Carter, DT Dan Wilkinson, OL Seth McKinney, and most surprisingly TE Randy McMichael, who Ronnie Brown and I were discussing as an integral part of this team just a few days ago at the Arnold Fitness Expo.
Today, Miami began replenishing their losses by agreeing to a five-year deal ($32 million, $20 million guaranteed) with free agent LB …read more
