Brett Favre was reinstated into the National Football League by Commissioner Roger Goodell today. The decision will become officially effective at 1 p.m. EST tomorrow when Brett will be added to the Green Bay Packers active roster. The Packers accepted Brett’s forced return to the team today after failing to come to a financial agreement that would manage to make him happy while staying retired. No Decision Yet on Brett Favre Reinstatement

As I mentioned in the comments to yesterday’s post about Brett Favre filing his income tax reinstatement paperwork, Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy flew to Brett’s home in Mississippi to try to talk him out of returning to the team. Unfortunately, neither Brett nor Mark spoke with the media about the meeting afterwards. Brett’s agent, Bus Cook, only said that things “were going well,” whatever that means. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell did not make a decision on Brett’s reinstatement today. League spokesman Greg Aiello made the following announcement, though:
