They brought Indianapolis its first major professional sports league championship when they won Super Bowl XLI. They are the winningest team in the NFL in the past five years (60 victories). They can become the first team in history to win at least 12 games in five consecutive seasons. The journey to Super Bowl XLII begins in Indianapolis tomorrow night. At 8:30 PM ET, the NFL will kick off its 2007 season at the RCA Dome when the Super Bowl XLI champion Indianapolis Colts host the New Orleans Saints on NBC and Westwood One Radio Sports.
Each year, the previous season’s Super Bowl winner hosts the NFL Thursday night season kickoff. The Colts will start their quest to become the first team in history with at least 12 regular-season wins for five consecutive years.
