Minnesota Vikings rookie receiver Percy Harvin might want to check his multivitamin. Or buy a fresh supply of Airborne®. He was sent home sick from the National Football League Rookie Symposium after becoming ill today. Normally, I wouldn’t have given the news another thought. But it was the second time Percy has become ill after traveling this offseason. It’s probably nothing to be concerned about, but the Vikes do have eight road games this season.

Percy Harvin Impressive in Vikings Minicamp

It’s too early to be talking about the NFL’s next Rookie of the Year. But if Minnesota Vikings receiver Percy Harvin’s minicamp and OTA exploits are any indication, he’s going to make a strong bid. Percy has been featured in a number of different roles thus far. He made acrobatic catches at the receiver position. He returned kicks. And he even tried his hand at running the trendy “Wildcat” formation. All with impressive results. The Vikings already have 20-30 plays specifically for #12.

NFL Grants Special Eligibility to 46 Underclassmen for 2009 NFL Draft

The National Football League announced today the names of 46 players who have been granted special eligibility for the 2009 NFL Draft on April 25-26. Each of the 46 players has met the league’s three-year eligibility rule and each has submitted a written application in which he renounced his remaining college football eligibility. The deadline for receiving applications was January 15. In alphabetical order, those players are:
