Roydell Williams May File Grievance

I was surprised when the Tennessee Titans released their leading receiver (by last year’s stats), Roydell Williams, this past weekend. Apparently, so was Roydell. And now his agent, Rick Roberts, may pursue a grievance through the NFL Players Association against the Tennessee Titans saying Roydell was improperly released because of his ankle injury. He broke his right ankle back in January during practice before the Titans Wild Card playoff loss at San Diego. Mr. Roberts said:

It seems the light has come on for Tennessee Titans wide receiver Mike Williams. After being selected as the 10th overall pick by the Detroit Lions in the 2005 NFL Draft, Mike has done next to nothing. It’s an understatement to say he hasn’t met the expectations that were placed upon him coming out of Southern Cal.
