Bills Stay With Dick Jauron as Head Coach

With the Buffalo Bills off to a dismal 1-4 start—and following two horrific offensive performances against the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns—it would seem that head coach Dick Jauron’s job would be in serious jeopardy. After all, he was on the head coaching hot seat before the season began, even with the offseason addition of receiver Terrell Owens and a much-ballyhooed no-huddle offense installed. Simply put, expectations were high. And they haven’t been met.
But according to Bills owner Ralph Wilson, no decision will be made right now to replace coach Jauron:
“Yesterday was so bad that it’s hard to make a …read more

Has Terrell Owens Lost His Mojo?

The Buffalo Bills had hopes for Terrell Owens when they signed him this past offseason. But he has been under-utilized, the Bills have been under-achieving, and after a 1-3 start, the team is one loss to the Cleveland Browns (0-4) away from having serious doubts about their chances of making the playoffs again this season—something they haven’t done in ten years.
The Bills vs. Browns matchup tomorrow is far from “Game of the Week” material. Outside of the stretch of 190 miles between these two cities, not many people are going to pay attention. And that probably irks Terrell—he of reality …read more

Brady Quinn Will Start at QB for Browns

Brady Quinn Will Start at QB for Browns

Brady Quinn will be the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns when they open the 2009 regular season against the Minnesota Vikings Sunday. Browns head coach Eric Mangini didn’t reveal who the starting QB would be—he was trying to fool the Vikings by not announcing his decision—but word got out pretty quickly after Brady took the first team snaps in practice today. Even Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens got in on the disclosure, announcing it on his Twitter page today.
I don’t know why coach Mangini was keeping this decision a secret anyway. It isn’t like prep work for Brady Quinn …read more

Can Terrell Owens Save the Buffalo Bills?

When you factor in the early camp arrival and Pro Football Hall of Fame weekend, the Buffalo Bills had more time to prepare for the 2009 regular season than any other team (ok, the Tennessee Titans did, too). But heading into this 2009 NFL Kickoff Weekend’s opening slate of games, they are one of the league’s most uncertain teams.
Within the past few days, Bills head coach Dick Jauron fired offensive coordinator Turk Schonert and the team released their starting left tackle (Langston Walker)—two integral positions in the success of any offense. So with no time to test their suddenly new …read more

Chad Ochocinco Will Challenge NFL Rule

Chad Ochocinco Will Challenge NFL Rule

I don’t know why I continue to pay attention to Chad Ochocinco. Probably because he’s interesting to observe while he sometimes makes a fool of himself. The guy is kind of funny. And entertaining. I’ll give him that. And now that he’s apparently done whining and complaining to the media about being traded from the Cincinnati Bengals, he’s found a new way to “express” himself—to the 54,000+ followers on his Twitter account. Today, Chad tweeted his intentions to disobey whatever in-game anti-Twitter policy the National Football League eventually comes up with.

Amidst basketball challenges to Terrell Owens and jawing with “haters” …read more

‘The T.O. Show’ Summary, Extended Trailer

As you are probably aware, Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens has his own reality series. Here’s the show summary and extended trailer for The T.O. Show, which debuts June 20 on VH1. I’m sure I’ll start watching it but it seems ridiculous. I don’t know if I’ll make it past the first episode:
From VH1.com — Terrell Owens is one of the most talented and exciting players in the history of football. As the controversial “T.O.” he seems to have it all –catching passes and grabbing headlines. But life is far from perfect for Terrell Owens, the man. As the show …read more

Terrell Owens Shuffles Off to Buffalo

Terrell Owens Shuffles Off to Buffalo

Terrell Owens is enjoying his first few days with the Buffalo Bills. Last night, he was greeted by hundreds of screaming fans at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport. Today, he was given a key to the city by Mayor Byron Brown (which was going a bit far, I thought). Somewhere in-between he found time to practice with his new teammates. And the results were impressive.
While he’s admittedly still learning the Bills’ playbook and attempting to grasp the new terminology, T.O. made a bunch of nice catches in 7-on-7 drills, including the longest one of the day—a 60-yard touchdown pass from quarterback …read more

Terrell Owens Begins Filming Reality Show

As you may or may not know, Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens has his own reality show. It will debut on VH-1 this summer and filming begins this Sunday, one day before the Bills open minicamp. The footage for the show is being gathered for a series that follows T.O.’s day-to-day life. The premise is rather vague but he hired friends and publicists Monique Jackson and Kita Williams (serving big sister roles) to kind of help mentor his social life. I know T.O. is extremely sensitive so I hope he can stand the “good-natured” abuse he’s sure to take from …read more

Terrell Owens Says He Was ‘Blindsided’

Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens always offers entertaining interviews because he’s bound to say something controversial. And it’s not like members of the media are innocent in their interpretation or presentation of his words, but sometimes T.O. just doesn’t know when to leave well enough alone.

In a recent interview with Toronto’s Rogers Sportsnet (he’s with North America’s team now, don’t forget), Terrell said Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reneged on a personal commitment to keep him under contract:
“You hear all the speculation, and you talk to the owner of the team, and he reassures you, you’re not going anywhere …read more

Terrell Owens Skips Voluntary Workout

National Football League Blogcast, NFL Blogcast
Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens was absent from the start of the team’s 12-week voluntary conditioning program today. I know a lot of media and fans are already blowing this out of proportion but I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Certainly, it would be nice if T.O. was around his new team as much as possible during the offseason. It would be the best case scenario if he attended every session offered, voluntary or not. That is what the true leader of a team would do. But he is a veteran who …read more
