I guess maybe the Detroit Lions knew it was a gamble to select Army football player Caleb Campbell in the 7th round of this past April&#8217;s NFL Draft. But at the time, Department of Defense policy allowed West Point grads to avoid active military service if they had the ability to become professional athletes. Which, obviously, Caleb did. (Check out my interview with Caleb.)
