New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was photographed today with what appears to be walking cast on his right foot. The Boston Herald and Boston Globe had the photos — credited to infphoto.com — on their Web sites. A video of Tom walking with a slight limp from an SUV to girlfriend Gisele Bundchen’s apartment in New York is available on TMZ.com. Listen to the idiots badgering him with stupid comments.

During his weekly radio appearance on WEEI today — before the photos and video emerged — Tom responded to whether his foot was injured with:

“Ah, you know, there’s always bumps and bruises. I’ll be ready for the Super Bowl. I’m not worried about that. I’m not missing this one. I’d have to be on a stretcher to miss this one. There will be treatment this week. In games like this, you get a little nicked up. It’s nothing serious.”

Personally, I thought Tom looked kind of out of it in Sunday’s AFC Championship game against the Chargers. I mean, I know he threw three INTs, but I couldn’t tell if he was not feeling well or what the problem was. When he wasn’t on the field, he was usually sitting on the bench with his head down.

Anyway, I think this whole thing is being blown out of proportion. I’m pretty sure he’s fine. Whatever the ailment, I would tend to believe the cast was just a precautionary measure and he’ll get whatever it is taken care of before Super Bowl XLII on February 3. The Patriots had no official comment on the injury or the photos.
