New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had successful surgery on his left knee earlier this week. The operation took place at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. If you were wondering why it took so long to get the operation (it’s been about a month since Tom blew out his knee in the season opener), it’s because doctors were apparently waiting for Tom’s MCL to heal before they could work on the ACL. The Patriots aren’t commenting and Tom’s doctor, Neal S. ElAttrache, can’t talk about it. But I can tell you rehab will begin immediately and Tom’s looking at 6-8 months of hard work.
