I'm not trying to make you agree with me. We can agree to disagree. That's fine. But I never said Michael Vick can't play football again. He can join the UFL or CFL. He would fare better there anyway. Vick was railroaded? That definition is: To convict (an accused person) without a fair trial or on trumped-up charges. Please. He eventually admitted his wrongdoing and said himself: "I'm willing to deal with the consequences and accept responsibility for my actions."

Mr kindervater. The law states that if u commit a crime and you are sent to prison for that crime and released - you have paid your debt to society. This mans lively hood is football. I don't know what u do for a living and I don't care but if u commited a crime and went to prison and pd your debt to society I'm sure u would want to return to your job. There's no need to reply to this message because there is nothing you can say that will make me agree with you. Let's think about this. Let's say michael vick was drunk one night and was driving and killed one of his friends. Should he go to jail then or not. We see this too much in america where the punishment doesn't fit the crime. Vick was railroaded and you know it. Leave him alone and Let this man get back to doing what he does best.

Thanks for your comment, Mr. Brandon. I've written about Michael Vick's troubles with the law many times. We've had some good discussions on some other related posts. Some people agree with you. Some agree with me. That's just the way it is.

Anyway, I've always said the same thing. So I'll just say it again. PLAYING FOOTBALL IN THE NFL IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT. I think the NFL should hold its players to a higher standard. And there should be some criteria for lifetime banishment. Torturing and killing animals for fun (drowning, hanging, electrocution or being slammed to the ground) should equal a lifetime ban. That's just my opinion. Your opinion is to let the crime run through the legal system and then just let Michael back into the league as if nothing ever happened. After all, he "paid his debt to society." Well, I disagree. I think the NFL is better than that. If you want to be in this league, follow the rules. If you can't follow the rules, find something else to do with your life. Michael Vick could be a productive member of society doing something else.

As far as forgiveness, I'm not continuing to take anything from the man. I'm not talking about eternal damnation here. Give me a break. It's a football league. Michael can play football again. Maybe the CFL or UFL would like to employ him. In fact, I'm pretty sure they would. There, he can make an honest living. He can be a productive member of society in one of those leagues.

WHY ARE YOU BEING SUCH A HYPOCRITE, ON ONE HAND YOU SAY THAT YOU HOPE VICK HAS LEARNED HIS LESSON AND COME OUT OF PRISON A BETTER PERSON , BE A PRODUCTIVE MEMBER OR "OUR" SOCIETY, BUT THEN YOU SAY HE SHOULD'NT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE NFL AGAIN; WHAT A HYPOCRITICAL STATEMENT TO MAKE, THATS LIKE SAYING IF YOU WENT TO PRISON FOR WHATEVER REASONS, ONCE YOU HAVE PAID YOUR DEBT TO SOCIETY YOU SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO WRITE AGAIN.IF WRITING WHAT MAKES YOU A "PRODUCTIVE CITIZEN" WHY SHOULD'NT YOU BE ALLOWED TO WRITE? WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO CONTINUE TO TAKE FROM THIS MAN{ VICK}WHEN WILL ENOUGH BE ENOUGH? IT REALLY HURTS MY HEART TO THINK THE SOCIETY IN WHICH WE LIVE VALUES THE LIFE OF AN ANIMAL MORE THAN A HUMANS' LIFE; I'M NOT TRYING TO JUSTIFY WHAT VICK DID BY NO MEANS; BUT FOR PEOPLE , SUCH AS YOU MR.KINDERVATER, THAT TRYS TO BE SO POLITICAL CORRECT, YET YOUR VALUES AND YOUR SECRET THOUGHTS, YOUR UNWILLINGNESS TO FORGIVE { TRUE FORGIVNESS}IS ONE OF THE REASON THIS WORLD HAS BECOME WHAT IT IS TODAY.PLEASE HAVE ENOUGH BACKBONE TO RESPOND, YOU DONT SEEM TO HAVE A PROBLEM WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING SOMETHING NEGATIVE!
