Chad Pennington? Who’s Chad Pennington? Miami Dolphins fans have already forgotten who he is. They’re thinking Dan Marino. After all, Fins fans have been looking for the second coming of the legendary Hall of Fame quarterback since he retired ten years ago. And while I’m not about to annoint Chad Henne as that man after just two starts, I will say I think the Dolphins have found their QB of the future. Chad was 20-of-26 for 241 yards and two touchdowns (with no picks) in a thrilling 31-27 win over the N.Y. Jets on Monday Night Football last night.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington will miss the rest of the 2009 season with a dislocation and torn capsule in his throwing shoulder. Uggh. Chad hurt his shoulder early in the third quarter of yesterday’s 23-13 loss to San Diego. He’ll seek a second opinion from orthopedic specialist Dr. James Andrews, but according to the team, his season is over. And if he does have surgery, it will be the third operation on his 33-year-old shoulder. Which, translated, means his career could very well be over. Chad’s had enough knocks on his arm strength. There’s another fake “Twitterer” on the loose, this time pretending to be Miami Dolphins receiver Davone Bess. Davone is charging that someone struggling to fill the hours is impersonating him on a Twitter site under the name LamboWeezy. The page is not accessible, so I couldn’t get a look at it. But Davone intends to prosecute this impostor to the fullest extent of the law.
Fans on a Dolphins message board became suspicious of the statements made on the Twitter site. Apparently, this impostor was answering fan questions. A representative of the Dolphins blog “The Phinsider” brought the Twitter site to …read more

It appears Jason Taylor has not played his final game for the Miami Dolphins. After being traded to the Washington Redskins last season (because — let’s be honest — team Executive VP of Football Ops Bill Parcells didn’t like Jason’s involvement on “Dancing With the Stars”), it was pretty clear Jason’s days in Miami were over. But both sides have since had a change of heart and were able to put their past differences to rest. Jason signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Dolphins today.
