In 2009 fantasy football drafts, there are a lot of intriguing wide receiving prospects. If you don’t like a running back or a quarterback in the first or second round, one of these wide receivers may be your choice. Here’s a look at the top of our wide receiver rankings for the 2009 fantasy football season.
1. Randy Moss, New England Patriots
Sure, he’s getting up there in years but with Tom Brady back in charge, the sky is the limit for Randy Moss.
2. Andre Johnson, Houston Texans
He had a somewhat slow start last season but Andre Johnson is in an offense that lets his talents shine. He should be very good in 2009.
3. Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals
When it comes to abilities, Larry Fitzgerald is one of the top two or three wide receivers in the NFL. If Kurt Warner stays healthy, watch out.
4. Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions
If the Lions can be halfway decent this year, Calvin Johnson has the tools to be a fantasy football force.
5. Steve Smith, Carolina Panthers
Steve Smith has been a little banged up in training camp but he’s a player who you can count on to produce when he’s on the field.
