Chris Wilcox to the Pistons – Fantasy View

Chris Wilcox has signed a two-year contract worth a reported $6 million to join the Detroit Pistons. Wilcox has an opportunity to play a big role with the new-look Pistons.
The 26-year-old Wilcox has played with the Los Angeles Clippers, Seattle Supersonics, Oklahoma City Thunder and New York Knicks. His best season came with the Sonics in 2006-07 when he averaged 13.5 point, 7.7 rebounds and 31.5 minutes.
At 6-foot-10, Wilcox is an elite athlete who has the tools to score and rebound at a high rate. The problem is that his commitment and energy levels have always been questioned.
In the fantasy basketball world, Wilcox’s value will depend on his role. If the Pistons decide to go small, he could start in the middle next to Charlie Villanueva. However, the more likely route is for Wilcox to come off the bench.
Keep an eye on Wilcox’s role but don’t plan on drafting him in fantasy basketball drafts next year.
