Gilbert Arenas Injury Update – Return?

After a torturous wait, it appears that Gilbert Arenas is finally close to returning to the court. He’s been practicing with the Washington Wizards since the first week of March and now his return looks to be just a matter of time.
Arenas says he’s going to have one last precautionary MRI and he is cleared by the doctors following the MRI, he says he will return. Although he’s talked a lot about returning for the last couple months, it seems like this time is for real. It’d actually be surprising if he wasn’t on the court at some point in the next two weeks.
Once he returns to action, Arenas shouldn’t need too much time to warm up. Fantasy basketball owners should be able to place him in the starting lineup immediately. Arenas has said that he wasn’t going to return unless he was 100%. A 100% Arenas is a better than average fantasy point guard – even if he is rusty.
If by some miracle Arenas is available in your fantasy league, go ahead and swoop him up and be prepared to place him in your starting lineup.

That is good news to hear. I’ve got one league where I’ve just lost Wade and have Arenas sitting on my bench waiting to fill in for him. Can’t wait for him to some back.
