Isaac Bruce to the San Francisco 49ers – Fantasy Look

Isaac Bruce has been a St. Louis Ram forever. But those days have finally come to a close with the wide receiver signing with the San Francisco 49ers on Friday. The Niners had a horrible time moving the ball in 2007, specifically through the air. They hope that the addition of Bruce will help them in that regard.
A lot of people point to new offensive coordinator Mike Martz being a big reason why Bruce ended up in San Francisco. Martz was in St. Louis when Bruce had the best seasons of his career. If anyone knows how to get Bruce open and get him the ball, it’s Martz.
That said, in 2008 don’t look for huge numbers out of Bruce. The fantasy football world took a chance on Darrell Jackson last year when he signed with the Niners and Jackson turned out to be a bust. Especially considering the quarterbacks that the Niners have, Bruce would be doing well if he ended the 2008 campaign with 800 yards and five touchdowns.
