Isaac Hayes Dies – Basketball Fan

Isaac Hayes died on Sunday at the age of 65. His wife found him next to a treadmill at his home. After being rushed to the hospital, Hayes was pronounced dead. The cause of death is unknown at this time.
Not only was Isaac Hayes a talented musician, he was a dedicated basketball fan. His most noteworthy foray into basketball came in the mid-1970’s when he bought part of an ABA squad. While the team, which he helped rename the Memphis Sound, eventually was forced to close its doors, Hayes remained a big basketball fan the rest of his life.
