Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal were reunited again — but this time it was only for one game. In the 2009 NBA All-Star Game, Kobe and Shaq played on the same team and both played extremely well. In fact, Kobe and Shaq were named Co-MVPs of the All-Star Game. You can see a Kobe and Shaq video at the end of this entry.
Kobe finished the game with 27 points, while Shaq had 17 points in only 11 minutes. When Shaq came into the game, the West gained the momentum and rode Kobe’s scoring to the victory.
On the season, both Kobe and Shaq are having fine fantasy basketball campaigns. Kobe isn’t scoring as much as ever but his all around game and consistency are both extremely helpful in the fantasy world. Shaq, although he’s not good for all formats, is producing fantasy stats at a better than expected clip.
