The NFL recently announced it will webcast Sunday Night Games online in an attempt to capture an even wider audience. The games, which will also be shown on television on NBC, will be the first games broadcast live by the NFL over the internet.

This is good news for fantasy football owners because sometimes it could be difficult checking how your team did while at the same time watching television. Now fantasy football owners can look at their fantasy teams and watch the night game without leaving the computer.

Initial reports indicate that along with the webcast, the online version will offer additional information such as stats and live blogs. It is also believed that the webcast will be available both on NFL.com and NBC.com.

The first game to be webcast will be on September 4th when the New York Giants play against the Washington Redskins.
