Paul Pierce Injury Update – 2008 NBA Finals

Paul Pierce suffered what first appeared to be a major knee injury during Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals. Thankfully for fans of the Boston Celtics, Pierce was able to return. Even better, Pierce showed no sign of any injury once he made it back to the court.
The Celtics went on to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of the Finals. In Game 2, Pierce is expected to play.
When Pierce went down, he says that he felt a pop in his knee. Tests indicate he hasn’t suffered any major injury and should be close to 100% for the rest of the series. For the Celtics to have a chance to top the Lakers, Pierce is going to have to have the series of his life.
