The day before the beginning of Week 3 of the 2009 fantasy football season, we’ll take a look a the quarterback rankings. These following 12 quarterbacks are the best of the best for fantasy purposes in Week 3.
Here are the Week 3 fantasy football quarterback rankings:
1. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
2. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
3. Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
4. Tom Brady, New England Patriots
5. Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts
6. Trent Edwards, Buffalo Bills
7. Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
8. Kurt Warner, Arizona Cardinals
9. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
10. Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
11. Eli Manning, New York Giants
12. Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons
The first thing that probably stick out on this list is the placement of Tom Brady. Since his fantasy football breakout in 2007, he’s never been this lowly rated. However, his wide receivers are banged up and he still is building confidence in his knee.
Trent Edwards should be a good play this week. The Bills and Saints will probably get in a shootout and add in the fact that Edwards has a pair of stud receivers — and things should be good for the Stanford grad.
