The 2009 NBA summer league saw a lot of impressive rebounding performances. If you are looking for a rebounder for your 2009-10 fantasy basketball team, consider one of these under the radar rebounders.
Joey Dorsey, Houston Rockets
In summer league action, Joey Dorsey did a good Ben Wallace impersonation. He averaged 9.8 points. 14.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.6 blocks per game. With Yao Ming out for the season, don’t be surprised to see a lot of Dorsey this year.
Taj Gibson, Chicago Bulls
Although he only played in two summer league games, Gibson pulled down 20 boards and showed exactly how he can help the Bulls this year. If he gets consistent minutes, expect him to be able to clean the glass.
Jon Brockman, Sacramento Kings
We all know that Brockman was a very good rebounder in college. In summer league, he continued to show promise. In only 21.6 minutes per game, Brockman pulled down 9.2 rebounds.
DeJuan Blair, San Antonio Spurs
DeJuan Blair was the best minute-for-minute rebounder in college basketball last year. In summer league for the Spurs, Blair continued rebounding at a healthy rate — 8.7 rebounds in 25 minutes per game.
