Check out this video of Robert Horry’s hard foul on David West in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals. With the San Antonio Spurs blowing out the New Orleans Hornets, Robert Horry hit David West with a hard yet seemingly clean back pick. David West fell to the ground holding his back — which was tender entering the game.
Although this was likely a deliberate move by Horry, don’t expect the NBA to take any action against Horry or the Spurs. It was a playoff foul that happens every game.
The good news for David West is he has three foul days to recover for Game 7. On Monday, the Spurs and Hornets will play in New Orleans in a win or go home situation.
Here is the Robert Horry and David West video:

Robert Horry will be famous for shots and cheap shots. How can you call that “clean,” it was clearly intentional. The Spurs are becoming desperate to keep their championship hopes alive…not the best image for the Spurs. No wonder many in the West and East despise the Spurs.
You got to be kidding me! that in no way was a dirty or a cheap shot! that was just defense!!! get a life
First of all I would like to say that anyone who is affiliated with “professional” sports that calls Horry’s foul clean, should be but whipped for stupidity. Look at the play, 1) did he get called for a foul?, “YES.” Obviously it was illegal. 2) Why did he set the screen?, no reason to intentionally take out the Hornet’s leading because if they didn’t the Spurs were not going to advance to the next round. Tell me when you last say anyone screen their own man? I think Pop has been watching too much Karate Kid, part1 of the final show down. Watch it and you’ll know what I mean. If you call that a clean play, I don’t think there would be much of a finals to watch since all the star players would be in the hospital, catch my drift. Peace out, thanks for letting me vent without the widemouth.
