Sarah Palin playing on her high school basketball team.
As you probably know, John McCain named Sarah Palin as his running mate. While it is well known that Palin is the Governor of Alaska, what isn’t as well known is that Palin is an accomplished basketball player.
Palin played in her high school championship game in 1982 in Alaska. In the final seconds of the game, Palin hit game-winning free throws to give her team the championship. What made it even more amazing is the fact that she was suffering from a stress fracture in her ankle during that game.
During Palin’s time as a basketball player, she was given the nickname Sarah Barracuda. The nickname was in reference to her relentless play and her intensity.
Add in the fact that Barack Obama is also a basketball player as evident by this Obama basketball video and we can expect to hear many basketball analogies during the next few months. Basketball fans now have basketball players on both ballots. In that way, this Presidential election can be viewed as win-win for basketball fans in the United States.

They only thing stopping her from being perfect is that she’s not from Texas. I’m voting for McCain-Palin. Obama’s a fraud.
I know Sarah Palin personally. I am from Wasilla and I’m tired of all the bullcrap I’m seeing on the internet and on the news. She is real and she is inspiring. She is qualified and experienced. She is what she says she is and that is all that needs to be said about it. If you’re a liberal, you probably won’t vote for McCain, if you’re a not, then you probably will. But if your undecided, then give McCain/Palin team a look. They are an amazing team and they don’t throw out outlandish ideas and promises that can’t be fulfilled. Sarah wouldn’t do that, I can vouch for that. She’s not your typical politician and she wouldn’t be associated with anyone who was.
I’m an american citizen just like everyone else, and I’m tired of the crap that the Bush administration has put us through. I’m not putting my one vote towards someone who doesn’t give a crap about me. I’m putting it towards someone who knows me and has my best interest at heart.
I agree that Sarah Palin on the GOP ticket makes me very hopeful for our country. I do NOT agree with the reference to the our current president’s administration. Please thank God for our president and pray for him and his family. I think he is a very brave man, though an imperfect man, as any person we elect will be. But our part is to pray for our leaders that may we live in peace.
i agree Carole. It is very easy to put the blame on Bush, but in all honesty, there is so much stuff going on in the country and around the world that we do not know about. The problem in the United States is not because of G.W. Bush. Any liberal who thinks pulling out of Iraq is a good idea obviously doesnt know the first thing about war. If we leave now, and remove all of our presence over there, then we lose all credibility, and then terrorism will be an even greater threat. And about the economy. It is bad, yes. But history has shown that it WILL go back up. It just takes time.
