With the 2008 NBA Draft approximately a week away, here’s our updated mock draft. A number of players pulled out of the draft, including Chase Budinger and Ty Lawson, which changed the dynamics of the draft a bit — especially late in the first round.

2008-09 Fantasy Basketball Mock Draft

It’s never too early to start thinking about next season. After considering what we have seen this season, here is a look at my early 2008-09 fantasy basketball mock draft.
1) LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
Even though he doesn’t have a game perfectly built for fantasy, he’ll be impossible to pass on.

2) Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
With the Lakers a much better team, Bryant has suddenly become a much more consistent player.
3) Chris Paul, New Orleans Hornets
Paul actually has a chance to move up to number one on this list if he keeps dominating.
