Julius Jones 2008 Fantasy Projections

Julius Jones recently signed a contract with the Seattle Seahawks and should be in the mix to start for the team in 2008. Jones had a relatively successful career with the Dallas Cowboys before moving west.
The Seahawks, who also signed TJ Duckett recently, now have a number of quality running back options. Jones is probably the early favorite to be named the starter. He started last season in Dallas and has shown good ability when given carries.
If starts in 2008 and gets between 15 and 20 carries a game for Seattle, my fantasy football projection for him would be …read more

Donte Stallworth to Browns – 2008 Fantasy Projection

The Browns continue to upgrade their offense. After re-signing starting quarterback Derek Anderson, the team brought in another offensive weapon. Donte Stallworth, who was signed to a 7-year, $35 million contract, is an explosive receiver who can break any play for a touchdown.
The Browns’ offensive unit now appears to be stacked. Anderson at quarterback. Jamal Lewis at running back. Braylon Edwards and Donte Stallworth at wide receiver. Kellen Winslow II at tight end. Cleveland has a chance to be the best offensive team in the NFL in 2008.
Last season, Stallworth had a solid season with the Patriots. He had a …read more

Josh Scobee, Jacksonville Jaguars
After spending much of 2007 out injured, many fantasy football owners will ignore Scobee in their 2008 draft preparations. That would be a mistake. He’s kicking for a team with a solid offense and when he returned late in the season, he made 12-of-13 field goal attempts.
Nate Kaeding, San Diego Chargers
Nate Kaeding had a really quiet fantasy season last year. But going forward, Kaeding is a very talented kicker who should be around the league for a long time. …read more

Owen Daniels, Houston Texans
Quietly, Owen Daniels is emerging as a very quality tight end for the Houston Texans. He has good hands and should become a mainstay in the Texans’ passing game for a long time. In 2008, look for even more catches and even more touchdowns.
LJ Smith, Philadelphia Eagles
Spending most of the season injured, LJ Smith had a forgettable 2007 campaign. However, the Eagles made Smith their franchise player and they expect him to be a key part to their success …read more

Underrated Fantasy Running Backs for 2008

Jerious Norwood, Atlanta Falcons
A lot of fantasy football owners will give up on Jerious Norwood ever getting a shot with the Falcons. However, 2008 really should be the year of the Jerious. After another very good season, the Falcons owe it to their team to give Norwood a big role to see how he reacts.
Fred Taylor, Jacksonville Jaguars
It seems like Fred Taylor is underrated every season. Expect that to hold true in 2008. While Maurice Jones-Drew gets all the publicity, Taylor is the workhorse on the team and is arguably the best player on the team.
Laurence Maroney, New England Patriots
Fantasy …read more

Lee Evans, Buffalo Bills
For the most part, Lee Evans had a horrible 2007 campaign. If you picked him in your fantasy football league, you probably ended up hating the pick. That said, it 2008 Evans should be a solid wide receiver who could fall in the draft.
Vincent Jackson, San Diego Chargers
Although Vincent Jackson was disappointing in 2007, he appears ready to break out. In the playoffs, he had a number of great catches. Look for him to continue that play in 2008 …read more

2008 Fantasy Football Preview – Running Backs

In the NFL world, the rushing leaders are ranked by total yardage. In fantasy football, total yardage doesn’t mean as much as rush yards per game. Here’s a look at that top five running backs from 2007 and what you can expect going into the 2008 fantasy football season.
1. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
As a rookie, Adrian Peterson ran for 95.8 yards per game to easily lead the NFL. A lot of fantasy football owners were hoping for a good year out of Peterson but few expected him to dominate as much as he did. Heading into 2008, there’s no reason …read more
