Nene, Denver Nuggets
Nene is returning from injury and has played well in his time back with the Nuggets. Always a huge talent, Nene used his time away to get into better shape. Although he has a lot of competition from quality bigs such as Kenyon Martin and Marcus Camby, Nene should be able to carve out a niche for himself in Denver.
Tyrus Thomas, Chicago Bulls
Thomas is a player who looks great one night and then disappears for a couple of weeks. For a fantasy team, that is very dangerous. But with a new coach in Chicago, Thomas might get a …read more

Antonio Daniels, Washington Wizards
Inexplicably, Daniels is still available in a lot of fantasy basketball leagues. If he’s available in your league, pick him up. As long as Gilbert Arenas is out, he’s going to put up very good fantasy numbers.
Andray Blatche, Washington Wizards
The injury to Arenas opened up a lot of doors, including one for Blatche. Blatche is seeing more time and most shots now that Arenas is out. Blatche has the added bonus of being a multi-positional player. Get him while his value is still relatively low.
Jamario Moon, Toronto Raptors
Moon is another player who should be added if …read more
Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Pickups

Here are five players who have started to breakout and should be looked at as potential waiver wire pickups:
Andray Blatche, Washington Wizards
Blatche busted out in a big way on Tuesday. Against the Philadelphia 76ers, Blatche had 26 points, eight rebounds, four assists and a block. Equally impressive was his shooting – 12-of-14 from the field, including 1-for-1 from three-point land. Brendan Haywood turned an ankle during the game, which could spell more playing time for Blatche. Pick him up if you have the chance.
Kenyon Martin, Denver Nuggets
If you watch Martin play, you would never guess that he has had to …read more
Monday’s NBA Preseason Action

While there were only two games schedules for Monday night, there were a lot of players in action with fantasy basketball appeal. Here is a look at a handful of those players:
Josh Smith, Atlanta Hawks
Smith is going to be a stud this season for the Hawks. In Atlanta’s win against the Wizards, Smith had 24 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and four blocks. He’s starting next to Marvin Williams at a forward spot, which will lead to Smith being able to grab as many rebounds as he can handle. He should also see his blocked shot numbers rise.
Andray Blatche, Washington …read more

Martell Webster, Portland Trail Blazers
Webster has had a big preseason and looks to be close to winning the starting small forward job. Webster, who is still just 20-years-old, is extremely talented and a very good shooter. If he wins the starting gig, he could become a viable fantasy player this season.
Brandon Bass, Dallas Mavericks
Bass has had a couple big preseason games in his last two outings. The Mavericks were high enough in the summer to give him a guaranteed contract. That said, there chances aren’t great that he earns a spot in the Mavs’ rotation. However, keep an eye …read more

LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland Trail Blazers
Aldridge has played well throughout training camp and preseason, but he really had a breakout performance on Sunday against the Hawks. He played 28 minutes and had 29 points, nine rebounds and three steals. Aldridge has very good fantasy potential this season, as he’s one of the few post scorers remaining on the team. He was good as a rookie but should take a big step forward in his second season.

Marvin Williams, Atlanta Hawks
Much like Aldridge, Williams has had a solid career to date. And like Aldridge, expect Williams to really …read more
