Kevin Garnett and Tony Parker Injury Update

When the San Antonio Spurs and the Boston Celtics played on Sunday, both teams were missing integral parts of their team. For the Celtics, it was superstar bigman Kevin Garnett. The Spurs, on the other hand, were missing point guard Tony Parker.
Although Garnett is sidelined with an abdominal strain and Parker is out with an ankle injury, both players seem to be in the same point. Doc Rivers and Gregg Popovich are both indicating that their star player is out until after the All-Star break. However, both should be able to return at some point right after the break.

Stephon Marbury, New York Knicks
Marbury looks like he’s headed for ankle surgery. If he follows through and has the surgery, Marbury could be lost for the season. The Knicks are a mess right now but losing Marbury might actually be a blessing for the team. Marbury hasn’t played well this season and fantasy owners should be looking elsewhere for point guard production.
Nene, Denver Nuggets
According to reports, the initial diagnosis indicates that Nene’s tumor wasn’t cancerous. However, more tests need to be done to verify those results. If the tumor turns out to be benign, that’s obviously fantastic news for Nene. …read more
