Blake Griffin played his first game as a professional on Monday as he suited up for the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2009 NBA summer league. It quickly became obvious why Griffin is such a highly regarded prospect.
In 30 minutes, Griffin had 27 points and 12 rebounds, while hitting 11-of-15 shots from the field. Riding Griffin, the Clippers were able to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers summer league team by a final score of 93-82.

Although the 2009 NBA Draft is a long ways away, Blake Griffin has already emerged as the favorite to be the number one pick in the draft. Griffin is a 6-foot-9 power forward who plays for Oklahoma.
The most impressive aspects about him are his fundamentals and his power around the basket. Once he gets the ball down low, he’ll figure out a way to score. He’s also a very good rebounder and an improving defender.
