Brook Lopez, New Jersey Nets
Starting now for the Nets at center, Brook Lopez is starting to establish himself. While he’s still very much inconsistent, he’s scoring skills as both a scorer and a rebounder that should keep him in the starting lineup. It’s not out of the question that he could become a double-double machine sooner rather than later.

Courtney Lee, Orlando Magic
With news that Mickael Pietrus broke his rest and is out for an indefinite amount of time, Courtney Lee should see an upshoot in playing time as a result. The rookie shooting guard can shoot, score and provide decent complementary stats. If he can move into the starting lineup, that’d be a big boost for his fantasy worth.

Amir Johnson, Detroit Pistons
Amir Johnson is back into the starting lineup. He began the year as a starter before falling out of favor and falling out of the rotation. However, it should be noted that he’s starting mostly due to an injury to Richard Hamilton. Only start Johnson as long as Hamilton is sidelined.

Andrea Bargnani, Toronto Raptors
The Great Tease is at it again. Filling in for an injured and sick Jermaine O’Neal, Andrea Bargnani had a big game. This followed a series of uninspired performances off the bench. When he’s going right, Bargnani is a center who can score, hit three pointers, block shots and chip in with a few rebounds.

While Brook Lopez has star talent and should be a top ten pick, Robin Lopez has a lower ceiling and should be a mid to late first round pick.
However, what Robin Lopez may lack in hype, he makes up in fundamentals. He’s a very good rebounder and quality defender. Lopez can also block shots and take charges.

While he isn’t much of an offensive player, he also doesn’t miss many shots. The sophomore averaged 10.2 points and shot 53.4% from the field. His stock jumped up after his inspiring play during March Madness.

In the 2008 NBA draft, a team will look at Lopez as a player who can come in and be a quality backup center right away in his rookie season. He’ll never develop into a star but he can possibly become a starting center down the line.

At 7-feet and 255 pounds, Lopez has the size needed to bang in the NBA. He’s not exceptionally athletic, which hill hurt his draft stock a little bit. But NBA scouts love his natural instincts, his fundamentals, his size and his willingness to defend. Those attributes alone will make him a first rounder.

Brook Lopez has become a hot prospect in his second year of college basketball. While he’s been viewed as a potential lottery pick for a while now, Lopez is now creeping up into the top five and maybe even into the top three.

NBA teams are salivating over his combination of skill, size and athleticism. At 7-feet and 260 pounds, Lopez has the size to be a true center in the NBA. And while he’s not a great athlete, he’s a good athlete for his size. He still needs to become more fluid athletically but for a 19-year-old seven-footer, he moves rather well.

At Stanford, Lopez is averaging around 19 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in 30 minutes of action per night. His numbers have jumped substantially from when he was a freshman and he’d likely continue to grow if he opts to come back to school for his junior season. However, it’s unlikely that Lopez will return for his junior season, especially considering he was deemed “academically ineligible” for a portion of this season.

How Lopez performs during March Madness will heavily influence his stock. If he dominates, he could solidify his position among the top three to five picks. If he comes back down to earth, he may fall toward the ten to twelve range.

Here is a video of Brook Lopez and his brother and teammate Robin Lopez:
