QB Shaun Hill, San Francisco 49ers
Not only is Shaun Hill playing good football at the moment, his Week 16 matchup against the St. Louis Rams is golden. If you need a fantasy football quarterback for this week and Hill is available on the waiver wire, pick him up and start him without hesitation.
RB Cedric Benson, Cincinnati Bengals
Last week, Benson had 152 total yards against the Washington Redskins. In Week 16, he gets to play the porous defense of the Cleveland Browns. Benson is starting to reach his potential and is a relatively safe fantasy football start this week.

QB Matt Hasselbeck, Seattle Seahawks
Don’t forget about Matt Hasselbeck. After missing a huge chunk of the season due to injury, he’s going to start this week for the Seahawks. With his wide receivers playing well and his running backs healthy, Hasselbeck has the weapons to have a good game. If you need a starter and he’s on the waiver wire, Hasselbeck is a good start.
RB Cedric Benson, Cincinnati Bengals
While he doesn’t have a very good matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, Cedric Benson is coming off of one of the best games of his career. With Carson Palmer still out injured, …read more

QB Matt Leinart, Arizona Cardinals
Even though Kurt Warner is playing well and putting up big stats, how much longer can he stay injury free? Additionally, there have been some rumblings about Warner retiring. All told, it’d be unwise to forget about Leinart possibly stepping in at some point and producing.
RB Cedric Benson, Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals recently signed Cedric Benson and then followed that up by waiving Kenny Watson. With Chris Perry only playing decently, Benson could very well get a shot at a starting gig before too much longer.
WR Ted Ginn Jr., Miami Dolphins
Many fantasy football owners have given up …read more

Bears Cedric Benson Arrested Again – Fantasy Impact
June 7, 2008 by admin

Cedric Benson of the Chicago Bears was arrested again. He was charged with drunken driving in Austin, Texas. In May, Benson was arrested while driving a boat after failing a sobriety test.
These two incidents surely won’t help his cause with the NFL or the Bears. With Roger Goodell handing out harsher punishments than past commissioners, this second arrest promises to result in some sort of suspension. A suspension will obviously lower Benson’s value in fantasy football.
The Bears may be getting close to giving up on Benson. He didn’t play well in 2007 and his 2008 …read more
Lovie Smith Says Cedric Benson is Starter
Cedric Benson has had a tumultuous offseason, however Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith has stated that Benson remains the team’s starting running back. Cedric Benson was arrested earlier in the month while in Texas, however that event hasn’t appeared to change what the Bears expect out of him this upcoming season.
Benson in 2007 was a major disappointment. The team let Thomas Jones walk to allow Benson the room to grow. It just didn’t happen the way it was drawn up. Instead of having a breakout season, Benson spent most of the season struggling. He finished …read more
Brian Urlacher Contract Holdout 2008 – Fantasy Impact

Filed under Fantasy Football Defense, Fantasy Football Tips
Brian Urlacher is missing voluntary workouts with the Chicago Bears due to being unhappy with his current contract. He’s recently stated that he’d be willing to miss involuntary workouts if a new contract isn’t agreed upon. There has also been talk about him not showing up at training camp without a new contract.
For fantasy football purposes, Urlacher is definitely a difference maker for the Chicago Bears defense. He’s one of the best linebackers in the league and if a contract holdout lasted into the season, the Bears defense would be less valuable in the fantasy football world.
