Devin Harris of the New Jersey Nets injured his right groin recently and will be sidelined at least about a week. He’s going to visit a specialist and there’s a chance he could be out for a while. The first game he missed was Saturday night against the Washington Wizards.
In the first two games of the season, Harris had 30 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds. However, his fantasy basketball value was limited because he shot only 32.3% from the field, missed all four of his three-point attempts and hit just 71.4% of his free throws.
With Harris out, the fantasy …read more

Chris Douglas-Roberts, Memphis
It’s difficult to figure out why Chris Douglas-Roberts isn’t a higher ranked prospect. As it stands, he appears to be headed to the late first round. However, as a player, he has shown few weaknesses during his college days. He’s a shooting guard who shoots a high percentage, plays adequate defense and simply just knows how to score. Perhaps his lack of world-class athleticism and speed is hurting his stock. That said, whoever picks CDR will be very glad they did.

It seems like every year, a couple quality bigmen fall to …read more

Chris Douglas-Roberts is one of the most intriguing players in the 2008 NBA Draft. Douglas-Roberts is a natural born scorer who knows how to put the ball in the hole. He’s also an underrated athlete who isn’t afraid to play defense.
Despite his very good college career, Douglas-Roberts draft stock isn’t as high as one might imagine. Right now, it appears as if Douglas-Roberts will be drafted between 18 and 28. At that range, Douglas-Roberts could be a steal for an NBA team.
In terms of fantasy basketball, Douglas-Roberts could be ready to produce right away in his …read more

While Derrick Rose and Chris Douglas-Roberts get a lot of the recognition, they aren’t the only players on the Memphis Tigers who will hear their name announced during the 2008 NBA Draft. Joey Dorsey is another Memphis player who will be drafted into the NBA.
Dorsey is a bit of an odd prospect because he isn’t much of an offensive player. In fact, he is averaging less than seven points per game. However, Dorsey makes his name on the defensive end of the court. At 6-foot-9 and 265 pounds, Dorsey is a great rebounder and is very …read more

With the Memphis Tigers in the 2008 National Championship game, Chris Douglas-Roberts has seen his 2008 NBA Draft stock rise and rise. Coming into the tournament, Douglas-Roberts was seen as a second round pick. Currently, the shooting 6-foot-7 guard is being projected by NBA scouts to be picked in the mid to late first round.
When looking at him, scouts have tended to let the negatives outweigh the positives. Douglas-Roberts is skinny, not very strong and his outside shot isn’t especially deadly. Many scouts have wondered whether Douglas-Roberts has the body to be an NBA player.
However, now …read more
