Donte Stallworth Suspension – Fantasy View

Donte Stallworth Suspension – Fantasy View

Donte Stallworth of the Cleveland Browns has been suspended indefinitely by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Stallworth, who recently plead guilty to DUI manslaughter in which a pedestrian was killed by a car Stallworth was driving, also won’t get paid during his suspension.
In the fantasy football world, this makes Stallworth completely valueless. He had minimal value prior to this incident but now there’s no situation in which he should be selected in a 2009 fantasy football draft.
According to reports, Stallworth received 30 days of jail time, two years of house arrest and eight years of probation. Considering all that baggage and …read more

Brady Quinn 2009 Fantasy Projections

Brady Quinn 2009 Fantasy Projections

If you believe Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini, Brady Quinn currently has a slight edge over Derek Anderson to become the starting quarterback for the 2009 fantasy football season. Obviously, whoever wins this competition will hold much more fantasy value, however both quarterbacks are arguably worthy of being drafted.
What are Brady Quinn’s 2009 fantasy football projections? Compared to Anderson, he has to have the lower ceiling. The 24-year-old only has four games and 97 passing attempts to his credit in his NFL career. It’s rare for such an unpolished quarterback to have fantasy success without a few rocky starts …read more

In Week 10 of the fantasy football season, we are seeing the NFL’s first Thursday night game. In the contest, the Cleveland Browns host the Denver Broncos. Both teams have a lot of questions that will have to be answered on the field.
For the Browns, their biggest change is at quarterback. Fantasy Football Superstars in Week 9

Fantasy Football Superstars in Week 9

QB Kurt Warner, Arizona Cardinals
As we expected, Kurt Warner was the best fantasy quarterback in the NFL in Week 9. Playing against his former team the St. Louis Rams, Warner had 342 passing yards to go along with two touchdown passes. The only thing keeping Warner from being mentioned as the best fantasy football quarterback is the injury concerns that surround him.
RB Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans
Chris Johnson is quickly becoming one of the most feared running backs in all of the NFL. In Week 9, Johnson helped lead the Titans to victory with 89 rushing yards, 72 receiving yards and …read more

Fantasy Football Buy Low 2008 – Week 6

QB David Garrard, Jacksonville Jaguars
To begin the 2008 fantasy football season, David Garrard was far from impressive. But the last couple of weeks, Garrard has really started to look like he did during the 2007 NFL season. Now is a good time to buy low and watch him blossom the rest of the season.
RB Michael Pittman, Denver Broncos
Selvin Young is out for Week 6 and Andre Hall isn’t 100%. With that in mind, Michael Pittman could become the lead back in Denver very soon. He already gets goal line carries and a lot of 3rd down action. Pretty soon he …read more

Struggling Fantasy Football Stars – Busts?

As we head into Week 4 of the 2008 fantasy football season, which fantasy football stars are off to a slow start? Here’s a list of struggling stars:
QB Derek Anderson, Cleveland Browns
After a great fantasy season in 2007, big things were expected of Derek Anderson this year. So far, he has been a huge disappointment. He has only two touchdown passes compared to five interceptions. He also hasn’t passed for more than 166 yards in a game this season so far. If he doesn’t improve quickly, expect Brady Quinn to make an appearance before too long.
RB Steven Jackson, St. Louis …read more

Joseph Addai, …read more

Week 1 Fantasy Football – Top Players

Week 1 Fantasy Football – Top Players

Who will the top players be in 2008 fantasy football in Week 1? Here is our guess:
Quarterback – Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
Even though he’ll be out on the road, expect Tony Romo to have a lot of success in Week 1. He’s going against the Cleveland Browns and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if this game turned into a shootout. Romo was very good in the beginning of last year and should start off well again.
Running Back – LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers
The Carolina Panthers aren’t the defensive juggernaut they used to be. For that reason, and …read more
