In a surprising twist, Ben Roethlisberger will sit out Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens due to a concussion. Since he had practiced all week and since he has the reputation of being a player who will play with injures, most thought that Big Ben would suit up.
Instead, Dennis Dixon will be the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The backup in Pittsburgh is Charlie Batch — but he too is injured. That leaves the job to Dixon, who has only thrown one pass in his NFL career.

1. Joe Flacco, Delaware
Flacco didn’t get much publicity while he was in college but he has been impressing scouts so far leading up to the draft. At 6-foot-6, Flacco has good size and is mobile enough to make it in the NFL.
2. John David Booty, USC
While Booty had an up-and-down career at USC, the he definitely has talent. With USC running a pro offense, he’s ahead of the game in that regard. Look for a team to take him in a middle round of the draft.
