QB Dan Orlovsky, Detroit Lions
Although the Lions are a horrible team, Dan Orlovsky is actually a decent play in Week 15. Going up against the New Orleans Saints, Orlovsky could very well finish with a pair of touchdown passes to go along with decent yardage.
RB DeShaun Foster, San Francisco 49ers
Filling in for the injured Frank Gore in Week 15, DeShaun Foster put up more than 100 combined yards against the Miami Dolphins. If Gore misses another week, Foster should have an even better game this week against the St. Louis Rams.
WR Deion Branch, Seattle Seahawks
After two straight quality games, it’s …read more

Want to take a gamble on a player who has a chance of becoming a big contributor at some point between now and the end of the 2008 fantasy football season? Take a look at these players:
QB Daunte Culpepper, Detroit Lions
Daunte Culpepper is destined to get a lot of starts for the Detroit Lions at quarterback. He recently signed a two-year contract and he’ll be given a chance to prove he’s worth the investment. While he’ll likely be rusty right off the bat, he was a fantasy football stud not too long ago. Take a chance on him if you …read more

QB Kyle Orton, Chicago Bears
Coming into the 2008 fantasy football season, many considered Kyle Orton to be too bad to even put on a roster. Now, after another good performance in Week 7, Orton is starting to look like a legitimate fantasy football starter. In Week 7, he put up 283 passing yards and two touchdowns against the Minnesota Vikings.
RB Steven Jackson, St. Louis Rams
In fantasy football drafts, Steven Jackson was almost always a top five pick. Although he hadn’t lived up to that billing so far in 2008, his explosion in Week 7 was very impressive. He had three …read more
Week 7 Fantasy Football Sleepers

QB Dan Orlovsky, Detroit Lions
So far this season, Dan Orlovsky hasn’t looked much like a capable fantasy football quarterback. But if you are really desperate for a QB in Week 7, consider Orlovsky a fantasy football sleeper for the week. He’s facing a bendable Houston Texans defense and with Jon Kitna out of the year, he no longer has to look over his shoulder. Expect him to have at least one touchdown pass.
RB Michael Pittman, Denver Broncos
While it’s never a happy feeling starting a running back against the New England Patriots, Pittman should have some success. He’s coming off of …read more

QB Brad Johnson, Dallas Cowboys
If Tony Romo misses any action, Brad Johnson should be able to fill in decently enough. Against a poor defense, Johnson is a good start even at his old age due to all the offensive weapons at his disposal. However, be aware that Romo is necessarily out for Week 7 so you should still follow that storyline closely.
RB Dominic Rhodes, Indianapolis Colts
With Joseph Addai out approximately 2-to-4 weeks, Dominic Rhodes will step into a starter’s role. Although he isn’t as good as Addai, Rhodes runs hard and should be able to produce. He’s a decent RB2 …read more

QB Kyle Orton, Chicago Bears
Kyle Orton pleased his fantasy football owners with a three touchdown performance in Week 4. In Week 5, Orton goes against the Detroit Lions, which makes him a nice waiver wire pickup.
RB Mewelde Moore, Pittsburgh Steelers
Willie Parker is hurt and Rashard Mendenhall is now also hurt and out for the season. That leaves the running back job in Pittsburgh to Mewelde Moore. He may be startable until Parker returns.
WR Steve Breaston, Arizona Cardinals
With Anquan Boldin getting injured in Week 4, Steve Breaston will likely move into a starting gig for as long as Boldin is out. …read more

QB Jay Cutler, Denver Broncos
In the thrilling game against the San Diego Chargers, Jay Cutler authored arguably the best fantasy football quarterback performance of Week 2. He finished the game with four passing touchdowns and 350 yards passing.
RB Darren McFadden, Oakland Raiders
Early in Oakland’s game, starting running back Just Fargas went down with what appeared to be a groin injury. Darren McFadden stepped in and showed his vast potential on his way to 164 yards and a touchdown.
WR Anquan Boldin, Arizona Cardinals
After a quiet Week 1 game, Anquan Boldin exploded in Week 2. Kurt Warner looked for …read more

Rudi Johnson landed on his feet after being released by the Cincinnati Bengals. The former fantasy football stalwart signed a contract with the Detroit Lions and will add depth to the Lions’ backfield.
In the short term, expect rookie Kevin Smith to remain the starter. Smith has been impressive in training camp and will be given a chance to win the job on a full-time basis.
That said, Johnson will now be waiting in the wings if Smith falters. Johnson has a lot of experience and when healthy he is one of the best backs in the league. While …read more

Bears Sign Kevin Jones – Fantasy Impact

After Cedric Benson got arrested once on a boat and once in a car, the Chicago Bears released their 2007 starting running back. To help fill that void, the Bears signed Kevin Jones — formerly of the Detroit Lions. Jones had recently been working out for a number of NFL teams.
With Jones in the fold, there should be a lot of competition for the starting running back job. In addition Jones, the Bears have rookie Matt Forte and returning veterans Adrian Peterson and Garrett Wolfe. Right now, it appears as if Forte is the favorite to …read more
