While there are a lot of point guards in the 2008 NBA Draft, DJ Augustin is unique in many ways. The University of Texas point guard is expected to be drafted at some point in the first round, most likely between picks 12 and 20.
The first thing you notice about Augustin is his size – or lack thereof. At 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, Augustin is a tiny NBA prospect. While he’s not going to get any taller, he could help himself by adding some strength and muscle to his frame.

The 2008 NBA Draft looks to be a fairly deep draft. As the college season gets further underway, the picture is starting to clear up and the studs are starting to separate themselves.
Here are some players whose stocks are currently on the rise.
Michael Beasley, Kansas State
Beasley came into the season as a top ten pick. Now he’s well on his way to locking up the number one overall pick. At Kansas State, Beasley has been putting up monster numbers. Currently, Beasley is averaging 26.3 points, 14.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks.
Eric Gordon, Indiana
