A number of fantasy football owners had their hearts broken when it was announced that St. Louis Rams wide receiver Donnie Avery will be out for at least a month with a foot injury. Avery, who is entering his second year in the NFL, is a player who thought could explode onto the scene this year.

A lot of draft experts had opinions on who would be the first wide receiver taken in the 2008 NFL Draft. However, few if any predicted that Donnie Avery would be the first wide receiver selected. Avery, out of the University of Houston, was picked with the 33rd overall pick.
