6. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers
Over the years, Ben Roethlisberger has been an inconsistent fantasy quarterback. But in Week 6, Big Ben has a home game against the Cleveland Browns. Expect a pair of TDs out of Roethlisberger.

5. Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
Since Week 1, Matt Schaub has been very good. This week he goes up against the Cincinnati Bengals. While the Bengals aren’t horrible, Schaub should produce.

4. Donovan McNabb, Philadelphia Eagles
We saw what Donovan McNabb is capable of last week after coming off of injury. In Week 6 against the Oakland Raiders, McNabb will be good.

Donovan McNabb - Philadelphia Eagles (Image: Zuma Press)

3. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Even though the Saints are going against the rugged New York Giants, you have to think that Drew Brees will come ready to play.

2. Tom Brady, New England Patriots
Tom Brady has basically been a disappointment this season. That said, don’t expect him to be disappointing against the Tennessee Titans.

1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers has been deceptively very good this year. Add in the fact that he’s going up against the Detroit Lions and there should be fireworks for Rodgers in Week 6 of the 2009 fantasy football season.

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
While he may be no Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers is on fire. In his last five games, he has ten touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown. He also has at least 227 passing yards in each of those games. He’s definitely a fantasy football quarterback you can trust on a weekly basis.

Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
Now that he’s getting healthier and healthier after he suffered a broken pinkie, Tony Romo is re-emerging as a fantasy football stud. In his last four games, Romo has nine touchdown passes. In two of those games, he surpassed 330 yards passing. Going forward, Romo remains a top five fantasy quarterback.

Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Although he’s had a bit of trouble with interceptions, Drew Brees remains a very good fantasy football start each and every week. In his last four weeks, Brees has ten touchdowns. He had a touchdown in every week this season outside of one week. On the season, he already has 4332 passing yards and 28 touchdowns.

RB Clinton Portis, Washington Redskins
Clinton Portis has a lot of things going against him this weekend. First of all, he has to deal with a myriad of injuries that have slowed him in recent weeks. Equally as scary is the fact that he’s up against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14. Considering both aspects, this would be a good week to look elsewhere for production.

WR Justin Gage, Tennessee Titans
Although Justin Gage have had some big games over the last six weeks, he’s not a very good start this weekend against the Cleveland Browns. Gage is going up against a defense that has played well the last two weeks and although his stats have been good, the number of targets haven’t been enough to expect production week in and week out.

TE Tony Scheffler, Denver Broncos
Although the Broncos have a good matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Broncos will likely be running a whole lot. When they do pass, they’ll probably go deep to a wide receiver. Combine those two possibilities and Tony Scheffler doesn’t seem like he’ll have a lot of chances to impact Week 14 of the 2008 fantasy football season.

A week after being benched, Donovan McNabb responded in a big way in Week 13 on Thanksgiving. McNabb had four touchdown passes to go along with 260 yards and no interceptions. Although he was going against the below average Arizona Cardinals defense, this performance bodes well for upcoming weeks.

RB Brian Westbrook, Philadelphia Eagles
McNabb wasn’t the only Eagles player who had a breakout game. Brian Westbrook, who had been slowed lately due to injury, had a huge day.
RB Brian Westbrook, Philadelphia Eagles
McNabb wasn’t the only Eagles player who had a breakout game. Brian Westbrook, who had been slowed lately due to injury, had a huge day. Westbrook finished the game with four total touchdowns — two rushing and two receiving. If McNabb can get back to playing at a high level and Westbrook can stay healthy, this duo could be deadly coming down the stretch.

WR Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals
Although Larry Fitzgerald didn’t have a great amount of yards in Week 13 on Thanksgiving, he made up with it by scoring two touchdowns. Overall, Fitzgerald finished with five catches for 65 yards and those two TDs. While Anquan Boldin has overshadowed him at times this season, that wasn’t the case on Thanksgiving.

TE Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Since breaking a rib earlier in the season, Jason Witten hadn’t been his usual dominant self. On Thanksgiving, he finally seemed close to 100% and responded with a big game. Witten had 115 yards on nine catches and also notched a touchdown. Pencil in Witten for big fantasy football weeks for the rest of the season.

As of late, Andre Johnson has been on fire. The Cincinnati Bengals, his Week 8 opponent, won’t be able to do much to slow him down. Expect Johnson to get at least six catches and at least 90 yards receiving this week.

TE Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers
Playing in London against the New Orleans Saints, Antonio Gates is the best tight end for Week 8. He has overcome his early season injuries and has regained his footing as a top flight fantasy football tight end.

Wide Receiver – Wes Welker, New England Patriots
While Randy Moss is sure to be affected as well, Wes Welker might be most hurt by Tom Brady being out for the season. Brady loved dumping the ball off to Welker. Now Cassel won’t be able to use him as much.

Tight End – Dante Rosario, Carolina Panthers
With Steve Smith set to come back in Week 3, Dante Rosario is a good tight end to claim on the waiver wire and then trade. He likely will see a lot less passes coming his way once Smith returns to the lineup.

The Falcons’ big offseason signing paid dividends right away in Week 1. In 22 carries, Turner had 220 yards and two touchdowns. While he obviously will come back down to earth, Turner could very easily finish the season as a top ten fantasy football running back.

Wide Receiver – Hines Ward, Pittsburgh Steelers
Hines Ward is getting up there in years and it’s easy to forget that he’s an elite fantasy football receiver. Ward reminded fantasy owners of his capabilities in Week 1 as he finished with two touchdown catches and 76 yards receiving.

Tight End – Dante Rosario – Carolina Panthers
With Steve Smith suspended, someone on the Pathers receiving corps needed to step up. Dante Rosario, the team’s starting tight end, was that man. Rosario had seven catches for 96 yards and the game-winning touchdown as the time expired.
