In the fantasy football world, this makes Stallworth completely valueless. He had minimal value prior to this incident but now there’s no situation in which he should be selected in a 2009 fantasy football draft.

According to reports, Stallworth received 30 days of jail time, two years of house arrest and eight years of probation. Considering all that baggage and the fact that he’s suspended indefinitely without pay, that will likely lead to the Browns releasing him and cutting all ties.

In fact, some experts believe there’s a good chance that Stallworth never plays in the NFL again. He was a talented player but not talented to the point that a team is likely to roll the dice on him. And with Goodell trying to clean up the league’s image, there’s a good chance that Stallworth will be suspended for a long while.

QUARTERBACKS
Vince Young, Tennessee Titans
Kerry Collins will start in place of Vince Young, who is expected to miss up to a month with a knee injury.

RUNNING BACK
LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers
Although he’s being listed as questionable, many expect LaDainian Tomlinson to play in Week 2. He has a toe injury but should be able to tough it out.

Ryan Grant, Green Bay Packers
Ryan Grant has been listed as questionable for most of the week. He was able to practice on Friday so expect him to play.

Marion Barber III, Dallas Cowboys
After injuring his ribs in Week 1, many fantasy owners worried about Barber’s future. Thankfully it appears he’ll play in Week 2.

WIDE RECEIVERS
Donte Stallworth, Cleveland Browns
In Week 1, Donte Stallworth was a late scratch. This week he’s listed as doubtful and isn’t expected to play.

Jerry Porter, Jacksonville Jaguars
Although he’s been able to practice at various points this week, don’t expect Jerry Porter to play in Week 2. He’ll play soon, though.

Laveranues Coles, New York Jets
Throughout the week, Laveranues Coles hasn’t been able to complete a full practice. He’s questionable to play in Week 2.

Javon Walker, Oakland Raiders
He didn’t play in Week 1 but expect Javon Walker to put on his Raiders jersey and play in Week 2.

Reggie Brown, Philadelphia Eagles
Like Walker, Reggie Brown didn’t play in Week 1. He’s being listed as questionable for Week 2 and should be a game time decision.

TIGHT ENDS
Dallas Clark, Indianapolis Colts
Early in the Week 1 game, Dallas Clark went down with an injury. He’s being listed as questionable and it’s probably 50/50 that he plays in Week 2.

KICKERS
Jason Elam, Atlanta Falcons
Heading into Week 2, Jason Elam is listed as questionable. Look elsewhere for a kicker for this week.

Steve Smith, Carolina Panthers
While the major news regarding Steve Smith is his two-game suspension for punching a teammate, Smith now has some injury woes to deal with.
Steve Smith, Carolina Panthers
While the major news regarding Steve Smith is his two-game suspension for punching a teammate, Smith now has some injury woes to deal with. Smith suffered a concussion in a preseason game that could sideline him for a bit. The good news is that he should be ready for when his suspension is lifted by the Panthers.

Braylon Edwards, Cleveland Browns
Braylon Edwards was involved in a freak injury during a Browns practice. Running in socks, Edwards was racing against newly acquired wide receiver Donte Stallworth. After the race, Edwards slowed down and Stallworth stepped on the back of his foot with spiked cleats. The accident forced Edwards to the hospital. However, he should be ready to go in plenty of time before the regular season.

Anquan Boldin, Arizona Cardinals
For the last few weeks, Anquan Boldin has struggled with a hamstring injury. The good news is that the Cardinals wide receiver is now ready to return to practice. He is also saying that he will play in Arizona’s next preseason game. That said, keep an eye on Boldin because hamstring injuries can linger for an entire season.

Plaxico Burress, New York Giants
The same ankle that bothered Plaxico Burress last season is bothering him again. He is sitting out practices and will likely be very questionable to play in any preseason game. Burress and the Giants want him as healthy as possible heading into the regular season.

The Browns continue to upgrade their offense. After re-signing starting quarterback Derek Anderson, the team brought in another offensive weapon. Donte Stallworth, who was signed to a 7-year, $35 million contract, is an explosive receiver who can break any play for a touchdown.

The Browns’ offensive unit now appears to be stacked. Anderson at quarterback. Jamal Lewis at running back. Braylon Edwards and Donte Stallworth at wide receiver. Kellen Winslow II at tight end. Cleveland has a chance to be the best offensive team in the NFL in 2008.

Last season, Stallworth had a solid season with the Patriots. He had a couple games where he looked like he could be a star. However, as the season went on, Stallworth seemed to fall out of favor. And that has been a disturbing pattern for him.

Stallworth isn’t known as a hard worker, to stay the least. His hands are a big question mark. What isn’t a question mark is his speed. My fantasy projection for Stallworth in 2008 is 900 yards and six touchdowns. That said, he’s a risky pick. He could fall flat on his face and be somewhat worthless or he could have a huge season. You’ll have to decide if you want to take that risk.

Lee Evans, Buffalo Bills
For the most part, Lee Evans had a horrible 2007 campaign. If you picked him in your fantasy football league, you probably ended up hating the pick. That said, it 2008 Evans should be a solid wide receiver who could fall in the draft.

Lee Evans, Buffalo Bills
For the most part, Lee Evans had a horrible 2007 campaign. If you picked him in your fantasy football league, you probably ended up hating the pick. That said, it 2008 Evans should be a solid wide receiver who could fall in the draft.

Vincent Jackson, San Diego Chargers
Although Vincent Jackson was disappointing in 2007, he appears ready to break out. In the playoffs, he had a number of great catches. Look for him to continue that play in 2008 and become a legitimate fantasy football receiver.

Donte Stallworth, New England Patriots
If Randy Moss leaves the Patriots, Donte Stallworth could have a huge season next year. He’d become Tom Brady’s favorite deep ball threat and would see many more passes than he did this season. Keep a close eye on Moss over the offseason and target Stallworth if Moss leaves.

Santana Moss, Washington Redskins
Santana Moss didn’t do much in 2007 until late in the season. In 2008, if he can remain healthy he could become a solid option in fantasy football again. He will always be an explosive player who is capable of a big game every week.

Brady is trying to complete perhaps a flawless season – both personally and for his team. Brady has been great all year and will be looking to put an exclamation point on his season with a dominating game in the Super Bowl. Start him with the utmost of confidence.

With the Super Bowl approaching fast, here are the top five fantasy players on the New England Patriots.

1. Tom Brady, Quarterback
Brady is trying to complete perhaps a flawless season – both personally and for his team. Brady has been great all year and will be looking to put an exclamation point on his season with a dominating game in the Super Bowl. Start him with the utmost of confidence.

2. Randy Moss, Wide Receiver
Moss hasn’t been too active in the playoffs so far but he’s a big game player. In the Super Bowl, look for Brady to target Moss as much as possible. The Giants will rush Brady consistently, which could open one-on-one coverage for Moss. There’s a good chance that Moss has a couple touchdowns in the Super Bowl.

3. Laurence Maroney, Running Back
Maroney has come on strong for the Patriots and is now an indispensable part of their offensive attack. He runs strong and should be used plenty in the Super Bowl. He’s improved greatly from earlier in his career and now can be counted on to show up for every game.

4. Wes Welker, Wide Receiver
Welker is Brady’s safety valve and is used quite a bit. He’s extremely tough to defend in the open field and can turn a short pass into a long gain. While Moss has the bigger upside for the Super Bowl, Welker is arguably the more dependable start against the Giants.

5. Donte Stallworth, Wide Receiver
Stallworth is a speedy receiver who always seems to be on the verge of scoring a touchdown whenever he catches the ball. If the Patriots can get one-on-one coverage on Stallworth, Brady won’t hesitate to bomb it and let Stallworth use his speed. He’s not a consistent player game in and game out but he has big upside for the Super Bowl.

QB Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
The New England Patriots defense is good but it’ s hardly as dominant as some league pundits make it out to be. With the Patriots keying the run on Sunday, look for the Chargers to throw early and throw often. Although Rivers is a bit banged up, he should be able to throw the ball downfield and hope for big plays out of Chris Chambers and Vincent Jackson.

RB Ahmad Bradshaw, New York Giants
Bradshaw doesn’ t even start for the Giants but he’ s been impressive when carrying the ball. He actually leads the Giants in rushing yards in the playoffs and has just four less carries than Brandon Jacobs. The Green Bay Packers are a very good defensive team which could mean more Bradshaw because Bradshaw has big play ability that Jacob lacks.

WR Donte Stallworth, New England Patriots
Although it wasn’ t noticed by many people, Stallworth actually led the Patriots in receiving yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Stallworth had a rollercoaster ride of a regular season statistically but he seems to be a valued weapon in the playoffs. There’ s a pretty good chance he’ ll breakout for a long touchdown against the aggressive Chargers defense.

TE Donald Lee, Green Bay Packers
Quietly, Lee has become one of Favre’ s favorite targets. When Favre is in trouble, he’ ll oftentimes look Lee’ s way. This becomes especially true around the endzone. Lee is a good athlete who greatly improved his route running this season to become a player who is on the doorstep of becoming an elite tight end.

Do you have bye week or injury troubles? Here are some players you can pickup and start right away in your fantasy football leagues.
Quarterback: Cleo Lemon, Miami Dolphins
Lemon is subbing for an injured Trent Green. Playing against the Browns this week, Lemon is a quality start. The Dolphins have good wide receivers and a running back in Ronnie Brown that will keep defenses honest. Lemon doesn’t have great long-term value, however for at least one week he should have some fantasy worth.

Running back: Justin Fargas or Dominic Rhodes, Oakland Raiders
All indications point to LaMont Jordan not playing. If that’s the case, Fargas and Rhodes will probably rotate at the running back position. The Raiders have been running the ball very well this year and these two running backs should be able to continue that. Fargas is a little bit of a better start because he’s played well this season. Rhodes will be suiting up for his first game of the season after serving a drug suspension.

Wide Receivers: Donte’ Stallworth, New England
Stallworth isn’t getting that much press next to Randy Moss and Wes Welker, however he has a huge upside going forward. As teams start to send more double teams at Moss, Stallworth’s value will rise. Like Moss, he’s a deep ball threat who can have a big game against anyone. This week against the Cowboys, don’t be surprised if Stallworth is the receiver who leads the Patriots in yardage.
